Kick Aboutz

Kick Aboutz Project

The aim of the project is to encourage more young people to take part in street football and to help to decrease the number of ABSO’s (Anti Social Behaviour Orders) within Calne Town Centre. The grant funding will enable Calne Town Council to purchase an inflatable football pitch (30meters by 20meters) which can accommodate 10 players at a time. The inflatable pitch is transportable, and can used on any ground. Calne Town Council will take ownership of the inflatable, the insurance, any repairs and maintenance. The inflatable football pitch will be used at The Grove on Friday and Monday evenings 6.00pm until 8.00pm and at Beversbrook on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The funding will also allow the project to employ a self-employed person to coordinate the project and to manage the inflatable during the evenings. Launch date for the inflatable will be 31st July.
